A telephone on hold recording has so many uses, and whilst mostly it is installed to entertain, educate and inform your callers on hold, it can also be used to act as your very own (and very friendly) recorded receptionist.

Take for instance one of our customers, e-Travel, often there call center gets so busy that they are unable to answer the calls. Rather than letting the telephone ring out, or making them stay on hold for large periods of time, they simply use audio advertising as a means to light heartedly explain the situation to their callers. E-Travel has also used their on hold message system in the form of a message bank, however rather than just asking the customers to leave a message they have structured it in a way to inform customers specifically about one of their staff members, Roman from accounts. No doubt this man is quite sort after, and e-Travel used their initiative to provide callers (who may regularly ask the question) information about Roman and his availability and how and when to contact him; effectively saving both staff and callers valuable time.

Accountant- Hi, you've called Roman from accounts. Sorry he can't make your call at the moment but if you leave a message he'll get right back to you. Roman punches out the numbers here at e-Travel between the hours of 10 and 4 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
